Situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, this monumental house in The Cotswolds is the principal residence of the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough. Opened in 1722, Blenheim Palace is the only non-royal non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace.
You can book tours of the palace to learn about it’s rich history (fun fact, it is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill).
However for me, my love for this location comes with it’s endless photo opportunities. whether capturing wonderful architectural details throughout the palace interior, or out across one of the finest examples of Capability Brown’s work, the Palace grounds, as a photographer your creative and imaginative muscles will be pumping.
Even better, the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough do enjoy a good gathering, so you’ll discover that there are picturesque events happening all year around at Blenheim Palace, from live concerts to the Salon Privé.
Recently, I visited Blenheim Palace to sample their summer food menu for Cotswold Allure Magazine, which you can see here: http://www.cotswoldallure.com/new-menu-at-blenheim-palace
